Children of South Asian immigrants face many unique experiences related to the collision between cultural values and western norms. SAH Network was founded by Punjabi youth from Surrey, and thus focuses on the Punjabi community in Surrey, B.C. and surrounding areas. Despite the focus on the Punjabi diaspora in Surrey, to address the lack of safe space for all South Asian youth, SAH welcomes all South Asians regardless of cultural background. SAH Network aims to talk about taboo topics related to their everyday lives in a safe and non-judgmental environment, while also providing important resources that are unique to the South Asian diasporic experience.
